I am still bringing potato salad, and I expect everyone to eat a large portion. If there are few people for the ride-a-long, then Amy will ride with me over FR41. I have a few geocaches to do along the way as well.
"anyone know of a good repeater that covers the area?" Don't know of one, but...
Not sure if there is an accessible repeater from the Seven Springs area due to the canyon like location. Looking at listings, there is one at Cave Creek, 147.320, K5VT, no PL; another at Thompson Peak (McDowell Mtns), 147.080, K5EXH, 162.2. Of course, you never know if those listed are actually working. There is always Mingus Mtn, but down in the hole at 7 Springs it may not be viable.
I don't know if cell phone coverage reaches back into 7 Springs either, but I will have sat phone in truck.

I will be on 146.46 Saturday morning not on 146.52. as suggested by BajaXplorer. I'm leaving here SD at 10am today.
My cell phone # 760-715-5232. I will be staying in the Surprise/Sun city area on Phnx at a friends house.

I have loaded just about every repeater I can find in the General area of North Phnx. I will also travel Listening on the Calzona repeater system.

I think we are going to be on 16 tomorrow for CB according to Lance's post.

Lance it will just be me tomorrow so I'll have the rear and front passenger open.

Just pulled some geocaches for tomorrow as well, hopefully we find those and not any snakes!:yikes:

Woo hoo! Thanks for a great day everyone! It was nice meeting up with all you folks and I'm glad I finally made it to Seven Springs. I have some pics but I'll wait until a "completed thread" becomes available....

You can all go to the Disabled Explorers website to checkout the report on our first Ride-A-Long event...
This was as much a test run and a chance to get something up on the website for folks to see and get some trust built up...yeah the 3 amputee's were all drivers of their own rigs but hey that just shows that anyone can get out and enjoy the backcountry with the right knowledge & gear :)
I would much rather find all the kinks in the plans with a great group of folks like we had than wait unitl the events are big to learn what is wrong!

Thanks very much to everyone who came out to play and I look forward to seeing you all again soon on the trail or in the forums!

Thanks again to everyone I had a ton of fun and it's great to get out and explore with something other than a group of crazy FJ's!!! :safari-rig:

Anytime you mix a trail run, Lance, and a bag of potatoes you're looking at a good time. :sombrero:

I enjoyed reading the writeup, looks like it was a blast.

Amy and I had a great time, it was nice to see old friends and make new ones. Looking forward to future runs, I like the idea of facilitating the offroad experience to any potential disabled offroad explorers.

I made it home about 6pm Sunday. The event was great, the trail was great, the people were/are great. I will post up pictures tonight.

Jeep Avg, over 18mpg on the road. :sombrero:
over 850 miles, 172 $ spent in gas.

All worth it. :sombrero:
