Disco II MV50 Air Compressor Mounting Suggestions

As mentioned in my Rear Power Outlet thread, I just picked up an MV50 air compressor to refill tires after trails. I'm just wondering if others out there have mounting suggestions/pictures. Under the hood would seem tight and add to temps. In the back of my Disco, I have a sleeping/drawer platform:

My original intent was inside the platform, however now I see that it is too powerful for my rear power panel (needs to go direct to either the battery or the rear battery leads I'm installing), and I would need to hit the on-switch...which would be out of reach inside the box.

Mounting it on top of the platform is out of the question, because I sleep on it and between the girlfriend, dog(s) - just got a 2nd, and myself, we need all the space we can get.

If I mount it parallel to the ground on the front of the platform, I lose space for my panel and inverter and the fridge takes up all the space between passenger seat and the box.

What to do.... :coffee:

Jesus that was painfully simple (and obvious). Thank you. Fits perfectly.

Mine is mounted on a stainless bracket hidden inside my passenger side rear storage bin.

I helped my buddy mount his Extremeaire at the location shown in the picture.

^Nice, that's what mine looks like with less wires and I used Dynamat around it.

This may sound stupid but how did you get the bin off without breaking it? I got the top off by removing the screws but the side walls seem like they'll crack in half if I pulled it any harder.

If you use a pressure switch in your airline you can use a closed chuck tire inflator and only need a remote mounted on/off switch. I use this setup with the on/off switch on my dash.
It's in a 109" though...

You take all 4 screws out, then pull out and lift up, there are 3 tabs holding it in on the bottom of the plastic piece. The screws are just tightening the metal washers that will let it go. Pull directly from each washer.

I custom built my switch panel for my air compressor/lockers . It's not the most glorious, but I can switch it on from the driver's seat.

Also, if you put it in the storage bin on the passenger side you can do sweet things like this, and not have to have your rear door open for airing up tires.

Yep, just requires a bit of time to do it correctly but very worth it! Can't claim it was my idea though, my boss MLetorney had the idea. It's probably been done before, for good reason!
