2009 Ram 1500
The spy photos of the 2009 Ram 1500 show a crew cab (vs. the current quad) with locking storage cabinets in the truck bed.
According to Automotive News, the Ram 1500’s V8 Cummins turbodiesel will have about 260-300 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque, with mileage likely to be about 20 mpg city, 25 mpg highway.
The best info I could find is at
http://www.allpar.com/model/ram/2009-ram.html. The truck will officially debut at the January Detroit Auto Show.
Now if only they would offer a 2009 Power Wagon 2500 (4x4, full crew cab, small V8 Cummins, with a manual tranny or the six-speed Aisin automatic available in the chassis cab). Serious off-road capability, 20+mpg, and a respectable payload.
Why isn't this possible? They have so much potential (Power Wagon, Cummins, Jeep J8, etc.), but don't get it. Ugh!!! Now I'm bummed.
