Door Latches and Locks

What is everyone using for door latches / locks on their trailer? I was considering compression latches but at $20/ea x10 - it gets a little pricey. Any one have any suggestions on where to get them?

Salvage yard? Maybe find a truck with a service body being scrapped and remove them all? Still unlikely to get much below $20 each though.

I did 14 doors using in 24 of these around the bottom of our trailer. If they break thery are available in varying degrees of quality all the way up to stainless.
Instead of using the metal catch I made my own from black HDPE

For my side doors, I used gate hardware installed backwards.



The padlock locks it up when travelling, and locks it OPEN when inside asleep.

I don't know how many door latches are required but I was looking at latch solutions for four lids/flip down doors for my storage solutions. I ended up going to Southco cam latch site and poked around for a bit. https://www.southco.com/en-us/e5?filters=7369;16580#7369

Anyway, maybe some ideas will spawn from this website as there are tons of solutions to stir up your imagination.
