Doormobile Days

Those Fast moving mountain storms have been pretty cool lately! Those type of random weather patterns are one of the main factors when I think about modifications to my truck, like enclosed shelter, tires, etc

I wish I could have caught up with you guys when you where passing through Aspen. Darn.
That Doormobile is something else!

+1.
When were they in Aspen?
I was in town for a few days last week and saw the usual assortment of cool "Expo" rigs but no Dormobiles.

Nearly to Leadville. The last few images before landing at the LRNR. We ran Tin Cup and Hankock yesterday, and will post those images later.

The 110. This truck is a joy to drive on the road and trail

Sunset, at our last camp before crossing into Colorado.

Our camp, just south of Aspen, and nearly 11,000 feet. The storm that night was intense, torrential rain and lightning surrounding us. Completely at random, Brock (JBS on ExPo) drove by the camp, and once I noticed the AT, we struck up a conversation, and found he is an ExPo member and subscriber to Overland Journal.

Brock and family braved the storm, and we shared space under Paul's awnings.

Nathan and his 4Runner, at 12,000 feet. His first time to CO, and he is getting a taste of just how beautiful this state is. . .

We are in Lake City, CO, on our way to Pagosa Springs and the San Juan River. I am going to try my hand at fly fishing - I expect the fish will be safe ;)

Hey, if you drive south from Durango and head through Red Mesa, you'll see a big grain silo off to the west. That's the ranch where my dad grew up. We have 600+ acres there. The property is adjacent to the reservation and Mesa Verde and there are some ruins and rock art on the far west and south end of their property.

We should meet up down there one day. :Wow1:

Looks like Nathan would rather have one of Paul's Red Stripes, instead of that Pacifico.

I'll take it.....

.

Naw Scott just caught me at a bad moment. I think I used that same Pacifico as 'model' in my post of that campsite.

Whitty comment though:friday:
