I recently committed to a 2013 Toyota Tacoma dual/crew cab pickup with a short bed. I think I want a backseat pseudo-gun safe drawer system that can be repurposed for travel that leaves a platform that could used for sleeping in pinch or as a dog bed platform. I don't have a fur baby right now but, I see one possibly in my future for a travel buddy.
For the Tacoma bed, I don't see myself using it for normal pickup things so, I'm thinking a dedicated full length drawer system would be sweet to go my with minimalist travel trailer. Having some tie downs for fuel cans, duffle bags, and similar would be good.
Side track:
It has a 1/2 roof rack but, I don't want to put much weight up there so, I will wait to see it in person and might delete it, use it as is or, get one that is full length; I'm not committed to any path forward on the roof rack but, the drawer system would likely affect the roof rack decision so the drawer system is first to determine what, if any, roof rack would be needed or wanted.
