Looking for a 79-83 Toyota Hilux 4 door Truck. Im in Fresno, CA.

Anyone know too how to import one of these and what the costs might be? I know they are all over Australia.

Search around a bit. It has been discussed on many boards. Basically, you're looking at a "cab cut" to get around the issues of DOT regulation and expect to pay $3K to $6K to import just the cut.

DOT should be easy as it is older than 25 years. Smog on a gas one might be a pain though, so if you can find a diesel its much easier. There is a ton of info online, just search

Thanks, already did that. I couldn't find anything that was very useful. The data i found online didnt jive with that the DMV said when i called them. Im looking for someone who has successfully imported one of these vehicles.
