Plain old BJ61. Aussie spec I guess though they didn't get many 3Bs in wagons. Might be JDM.

Its a fine truck that will easily go 500,000km and I've owned one over 700,000 and worked on one over a million but that's a bunch of cash. They didn't cost that much new up here.

<edit>OOPS according to the VIN it is a HJ60, more common in Australia and nearly as durable as a 3B version. It has a 2H, 6 cyl 4l IDI diesel <edit>

I used to own a Canadian spec one that I loved (RHD). Usually they are a 5 speed and get mid-low 20's mpg. Without a turbo they are dogs (particularly in Altitude). With a turbo kit they have similar power to maybe 2F or a little more than that. At low altitude with stock tires they are just great. One of my favorite vehicles of all time...

If you look closely in the back ground that is also a super rare FJ25 Land Cruiser and a Unimog DOKA through the windows :)

Here is what it looked like stock...

Thanks for the information It seems that the HJ60 "Sahara" model included the high roof to make it possible for people to sit in a third row of seats. The Sahara models had a sunroof and air conditioning.

Drivetrain is a 6 cylinder normally aspirated 4.0L diesel and 5 speed manual transmission. Transfer case is manually selected 2 high, 4 high, 4 low. Front hubs lock manually.

The vehicle in the ad has an Australian-style front bumper/bull bar. I'm thinking that the truck was imported from Australia relatively recently. Under the rule that allows import of vehicles that don't meet USA safety standards if they are 25 years old, a vehicle classified as a 1983 could be imported without too much drama.

The price is high, and the description a little suspect ("just traded in" when it was probably bought on eBay). But you don't see 60 series diesel models with 60K miles very often!

The low mileage makes me think JDM or JDM import to Australia and then to the states... The high roof is fairly common for JDM too, I'm not sure why that did it though I've seen a Saudi outfitted one with barn doors and jump seats a lot like an old 40 series.. They are good trucks, the 2H is a good engine but they are a little slow. They are an older style of indirect inject so they are not super long time reliable but are a good 200-300K engine usually just having minor head issues when they need a rebuild. With mild turbos and turbo kits they work great. Most of the kits for them (usually ordered out of Oz) are being discontinued as they are starting to get rare... Nice truck though but agreed not worth the price.

I rode in one in Cranbrook, Alberta. It had a turbo and he was boosting it 15psi. It was a rocket. I think it would have taken my 350TBI 60 that I had at the time. But that is a lot of psi for that head.
