Up for sale is a TAM-110, a light tactical military vehicle similar to the smaller Unimogs and Pinzgauers. THe ad says the vehicle was properly imported into USA, and has been licensed for three years in two states. That means the vehicle is probably an early 1980s model, exempt from USA emissions and safety regulations.
The TAM-110 is built by Tovarna Avtomobilov in Motorjev Maribor, otherwise known as TAM. The company is in Maribor, a city that was in Yugoslavia. When that country dissolved into civil war in the 1980s, Maribor became part of Slovenia.
From my reading on the web, the TAM-110 design was developed by German engine maker Deutz in the 1970s. The design never went into production in Germany, but TAM licensed the design. The TAM-110 was built for the Yugoslav armed forces. Today, the TAM-110 is in use in Slovenia, Bosnia, Slovakia and Serbia.
