Electric heater

Does anyone know of an electric heater for an automotive application?

I'm about ready to finish my Range Rover up and the heater core is probably broken. When I was installing the engine into the hole it hit one of the heatercore pipes.

Taking the dash out is a 8-10 hour job. And I never want to have to do it again. Unfortunately the Range Rover heater cores are not the most reliable part.

I want to put something electric in the place of the stock heater core.

Thanks

No chance. The amount of electricity you would need to even come close to the heat output of the heater core would be immense.

If you had a 100 amp alternator that could produce 15 volts continuously without overheating, that would still only be 1500 watts.

Basically the same heat output as a couple of blow dryers.

Seconded, I would think you have to remove the dash and either replace the heater core with same or try a different one that works better. The 95 D1 heater works great so maybe just needs a new core?

My range rover has always had good heat. The few times I've driven it when it was cold out. I'm thinking that just having to replace it once would be nice. The dash is not exactly easy to remove.
