Eliminating sag - GMC Sierra 2500HD with a Northstar TC800

Shake-n-bake

We are enjoying our Northstar TC800 and have camped in the Daniel Boone National forest, Great Smokies NP, Stone Mountain SP in NC and Pisgah National Forest. We are preparing for a trip from NC to SW Utah and before heading out, wanted to make sure our load is properly balanced. I measured the sag and it was 2.5". The rear looked a little low and while searching for solutions, I was referred to either of the following options: Sumo Springs, Super Springs, Air Bags or Timbren rear suspension enhancements. After researching, I decided on the Sumo springs. They seemed reasonably priced and relatively straightforward to install. They arrived yesterday and got installed today in about 30-45 minutes, 15mm socket to remove factory jounces and a 13mm to install Sumo. It took longer to get the vehicle ready (Jacking up, un-weighing the camper, wheel chocks and jack stands) than to install the Sumo springs. They are the 2800 lb model and ordered from etrailer.com. Sag was reduced to 1-3/8" and now looks more level, eliminating the slight amount of squat in the rear.

These are the jounce replacements and are considerably better than the factory jounces.
