Great photos.

The Escalante area is one of my favorite places. I even reconized a couple trees and a couple rocks in you photos.

What route did you take?

Had a great ceremony at the Kiva Koffee House overlooking the Escalante then took over the town with the reception it was fantastic.

Congrats!!! My wife and I were supposed to spend 4 days there over thanksgiving, but due to the lower temps she bugged out on me! Great shots, can't wait to go there myself. Sweet looking disco's I might add!

Congrats on the wedding, what an adventure that will be. Great photos from Escalante and a proper bachelor party.

I was in Escalante myself, the week before Thanksgiving. I saw that camo'd 109 For Sale as well, down around Zion NP, I think in Springdale. No idea how those run or drive, but they always catch my eye.

Man, that 109 was done right. New everything but the body and interior. The guy that owned it had just bought an 88 that was in even better condition with it's original paint.

I wanted to stop and snap a pic but it was parked up a driveway a few yards off the street. Even though it's for sale, I felt weird walking up, taking a pic, peeking in the windows and driving off. Maybe if it had been out on the street.

But that Union Jack decal and classic paint really popped out. Wish I could've seen the inside.

So which trails did you take around Escalante? I was a bit rushed but I had hoped to take a quickie down the Hole in the Rock trail. Didn't happen as we ran out of daylight. Had a top notch breakfast at the Prospector in Escalante though, which was the only thing open on a Sunday morning.

I keep hearing about that one. I'll mark it down for my next trip.

Your ability to keep pertinent secrets will serve you well in marriage.

Cheers ~

Don't get me wrong if we are ever out on the trail, I'm happy to share my secrets. The internet just gets this information to more people so much quicker. You will never see me post GPS details and most of the time I rename any lightly traveled areas in my photos.

I know I'm dating myself, but I can remember Moab when you could camp anywhere you wanted out Sandflats road and there was no fee. I don't want to see what happened to Moab happen anywhere else in the West.
