decided to make a later afternoon/dusk trip down to the everglades. it was VERY dry out there. very few gators were seen off of the side of the road like you would normally encounter. deep and large water holes were still chocked full of them.
ran into 1 water moccasin and 1 BABY dusky pygmy rattlesnake.
lubber grasshoppers were also quite abundant and we did spot a Barred Owl.
also ran into a honda civic and VW jetta that decided to follow rough little "road" (in wetter times, the water is up to my hood). the kids inside were quite easily identified as stoners.... although smoking out in the middle of nowhere is a good idea to avoid cops. . . panthers, snakes, and gators should make you think twice. i wouldnt wanna be stoned or drunk and run into any of the things i've caught or worked with. LOL
