AUS$8500 is a bit on the low side for a maximum price, try AUS$18000 and higher. Six by sixes are pricier generally than the four by fours, and specialist variants are more coin than plain janes.

Here's the price range at the close of yesterday's (15 October) Sydney auction, it appears that the prices are much lower as more of the 6x6s become available.
Lowest being a 1989 model with 127900ks on the clock sold for $8300
And the dearest was a 1990 model with only 11799 ks sold for $13209

Considering the 1 USD = 1.37 AUS, these can be had for a reasonable amount of $$$.

You could easily get one of these to the US for, I'd say, under $20k USD. Considering the going price for a crappy old UK farm truck, this would be a bargain with the Izuzu diesel.

Those UK ones are not the 6x6. Shipping costs Sydney to LA are currently approx $3200 Aussie Dollars.
