Expedition Ops Rear Storage build

5yrs ago I built a sleeping platform with storage underneath, then I hacked it up to relocate the fridge, and now I am redesigning a proper system for the back end.

Here is the first stage of the Solidworks model.

-Left will be drawers.
-Middle is 120w folding solar panel and GSI style camp chairs maybe RTT poles
-Right Adventure Trailers Fridge/slide combo
-Right rear CO2 tank
-Right of the system will be the Pett toilet and Restop bags

Thin fill panels will go inside the .5" tube frame
Tiedown tracks will be mounted to the .5" decking on the top
The frame will be mounted on top of a .5" plywood to cover the floor, maybe

In the 2nd half of it will be a flip top box with the water bladder hidden below with the other mechanicals, water pump, valve, helton hook ups. Recovery gear on top of the false floor.

I'll keep everyone posted.

Just picked up a spool gun so it's going to be an aluminum frame.

Good to see you on here David, I will be building drawers and using 500lb drawer slides. Still designing the drawers either tube and panel or plywood.

I think .5" tubing is the way to go. I just built a frame that sits on my TemboTusk slide with 1" tubing and its a bit of overkill. I have ARB drawers to the left of this slide. They use c-channel and bearings and do not slide all the way out like my TemboTusk. If I had it to do over again I would try to make my own with the Accuride slides.

Well done David. My plan was light weight and thin as possible. I am a Ryadon slide dealer so that doesn't hurt.
