The carpets come with cigarette lights plug. Meaning you can plug and unplug as you please. There is no thermostat.... They constantly keep the temperature as soon as you plug them in. It's almost instant.
Most people use them around the seating area or by the sink.

Got them dirty or wet? No problem! It doesn't hurt them.
