Exploration Outfitters - Gone Dark

Anyone know the status of Exploration Outfitters in Oklahoma? Have been trying to contact them for the last several weeks, phone calls & emails with no luck.
Backstory, I placed an order with them for a Patriot Camper back in March with a $5,800 deposit with December ETA for delivery. Cancelled the order in July when I bought a used one locally. Exploration Outfitters charges a $1,500 cancellation fee and 90 day holding period before refund will be sent. After the 90 day hold I was told they were mailing me my refund check, that was a month ago and still have not received refund. The phone goes to voicemail, no reply from emails...I'm starting to fear the worst.

Very sorry to hear this. I have gotten to the point that I highly highly prefer to purchase locally as my patience with the outdoor "industry" has worn out. I could make an exception only after going to visit the shop itself, meeting the owners, small deposit up front and if emails and phone calls are answered. Dealt with a company previously that did not act appropriately and have no use for it anymore.

Matt, the owner of Exploration Outfitters contacted me today to get this cleared up. Appreciate him owning up to the mistake and making it good.

Side note, Matt is not affiliated with any other companies that were mentioned in prior post.

Anyway it's a good day, really glad to get this cleared up!!

I've removed references to other companies from this thread. I thought it important for folks to know that there are companies that stand by their policies and do take care of their customers. I'm not making excuses for anyone, but do know, that if you own a small business, it can be tough to stay on top of things like you (most likely) know you should. Good on Matt for stepping up.
