Expo Trailer

Since the deal for Canadian surplus trailers has fallen through does anyone know of a suitable trailer that is for sale? One is needed badly for a friend who has had his heart set on an off road trailer for a time now, he was so upset when he found out that the trailers were not. I told him that I would ask around and see if anyone had one for sale.
Thanks for your help,
Steve

Just have to keep scouring the for sale adds like craigslist and local 4x4 forums. Most of good shape 1/4 ton jeep trailers are going for $1k. Guy I know has managed to come up with three that he cleaned up and sold for $1000-1300 each.

I screwed up and passed up on one for $250. It was a old 100 but it was complete and it wasn't a rust bucket. I am still kicking myself for not going after that.

The military has pretty well sold off most of the 1/4 tons. Some times they will show up on the GSA sites but its pretty rare. http://www.govliquidation.com/

Wow if you are up for a road trip look at GSAauctions at item 61FBPI07217033 Looks like it might just sell for under $400.

There used to be a desert hermit just north-ish of Barstow off of I-15 who had trailers, water buffalos and other junk lined up by his fence where you could see them off of the freeway. It was after youpassed the last exit for town, crossed the dry river and had gone over the first little hill. If you took the next exit to get off to Fort Irwin you would go left under the freeway and left on the frontage road a bit.

I think there are some similar types along Highway 395 going towards Ridgecrest where China Lake NAF is.

Thanks to all for the info, I have called my friend and told him of the leads you have given and he is most thankful. We are going to be in the Barstow area mid month as well going through Bridgeport on 395 so maybe we will see something then.
Once again thanks for all the help.

from the thread on Rubicon Owners Forum:

Selling my jeep trailer, it is a 1967 stevens, registered on a clean unbonded title in AZ, the trailer is in really nice shape, having been stripped and refinished in jeep paint, with a thin bed liner sprayed in. tires are new coker military reproductions. parking brake is fully functional. military harness removed, but the main hookup is included, if you wanted to go back. data plate is also included as is a reciever hitch pintle hook.
delivery and meet-half-ways are possible.

asking $1500.00 offers considered, consider trade for cycle trailer or flatbed utility with 2x6 or 2x8 decking.

the trailer is not mine, just saw the ad on ROF. the sellers area code 520, which is an AZ area code, the ad mentions an AZ title, so I assume the trailer is in AZ
