Expo Wagon Comparison

I built a spreadsheet of the specs of three common expo wagons. I can't drive two of the three, so I got all of the usual specs together to compare them. I feel this is an unbiased chart. I do own the JKUR, but they are all three great cars and I hope to someday experience each one. Anyway, I thought others may find some use out of this. If not, oh well! I looked high and low for a comparison like this before putting this one together, so I think it's the only one in the world. I worked hard to get all of the specs from reputable sources, mostly manufacturer websites. If you know a spec that is missing or see a typo, let me know and I'll update it. I converted all three vehicles to standard US measurements for comparison, so this may not click for someone in a metric country. Feel free to use it as you wish.

Looks good, thanks.

I'm shocked to see the JK has a longer wheelbase than both of them, and it's overall longer than the 110.
It's also wider than the 110 and same as the Land Cruiser..

Please add price (just for fun!)

Great idea! I've got it all together today and will repost the chart soon. Do you think I should convert all the prices of the cars from the three countries listed to US dollars or all of them as they cost in Australia, the only market with all three exact models? I want to be as close as possible. Australia may be the best market comparison because they all three have to be shipped to get there.

The biggest problem with using Aussie prices is that vehicles in Australia are insanely expensive, relative to prices in the US.

Maybe you could quote the price from a few countries, so we have some comparison.

Yes, but they are all three insanely expensive there, so it's a good comparison. The problem with any other country is that they aren't all three available in the same build anywhere else that I know of. The Australian TLC for instance has a V8 diesel. In South Africa it's only available with a straight six. I did an AUS/US cost comparison and although the Australian cost is higher, the spread is very close between the three vehicles.

The V8 cruiser has just been launched in South Africa
Jeep Unlimited Sahara 2.8 CRD AT R461 990
Jeep Unlimited Rubicon 3.6 V6 AT. R442 990
Land Rover Defender 110 SW. R407 700
Toyota Land Cruiser 76 V8. R587 500
Mercedes G300 CDi Professional. R805 000

Our local 4x4 mags have done comparison tests between the Jeep, Landy and Cruiser and the Jeep came out tops
And another test between that Jeep, Landy and Gelandewagen and the Jeep came out tops again

OK,
I replaced the original with a new updated one that has price comparison based on the Australian market. Also, I went ahead and compared all three with the diesel engine. I had to use a Jeep sport for my specs, because the Rubicon is only available with the 3.6 pentastar motor.

Was just informed that the diesel rubicon variant is available in Europe. Time to redo the list and have the wrangler earn its rightful place at the top :)
