Well things are coming down to the wire for Disabled Explorers and the Continental Divide Expedition, not to mention all the things we will be doing after the trip.....

As much as I wanted this roof top tent for the wheelchair accessible trailer project I will have to let it go and just try for another one later.

I really think this is the easist to setup and use tent on the market...1 finger to unlatch and 1 finger to open...the gas struts take care of the rest.
Solid, stable and with gas prices climbing at leat this model is the most areodynamic out there.

So I listed it on ebay with a min that is almost $1000 under what they are currently listed for....of course I hope that folks will see that this is a charity auction and the bids will climb but if not then someone will get a killer deal and I will get to help Disabled Explorers. I will do whatever it takes to make this resource a reality.

I have to give a big thanks to Andrew Hltopper who helped me get a Hannibal tent & awning so that I can still demostrate options for the handicapped until things grow to the point of building the wheelchair accessible trailer...or until Adventure Trailers gets their new ubercool design on the market.

look over the auction, email lance at disabledexplorers com with any questions or post them up here or ask if you want more pics....I have only had it a few weeks and used it 1 weekend. It really rocks, but I just can't justify it right now....

Thanks everyone and good luck with the bidding....feel free to post this auction on any site you think will create interest in it....nothing like a bidding war :) even if I would like to see one of you get a killer deal

weak dollar
increase cost of manufacture

hey gas used to be cheap too :(

so now is a grea chance to get it before prices rise again....or if no one else bids you get it for $1500

just a bump to get this into the eyes of someone who would like to save $900....since ther are no bids at this time and the min price is $1500 and retail is now $2400 well that's right folks a $900 savings!
But wait there's more!!!
If you are anywhere within 8 hrs of phx I would drive to meet you 1/2 way!
Yep you guessed an additional savings of Shipping Cost!
Ebay is standing by waiting for your click to pick!

Thanks

thank goodness it got a bid....I really think these are super cool and I hope to get a chance to build the wheelchair accessible trailer in the fall....
I fully admit to being torn 3 ways...
1) no one bids and I am forced to keep it (wife wouldn't like that due to the money factor)
2) a huge bidding war breaks out and folks pay over retail if I will cover it in Disabled Explorers and Overland Jounal stickers...
3) it goes to smeone cool here for $1501 and they get a great tent at a killler price......

That is a very good deal. I am sorry that you have to sell it, but there is a strong demand out there.

Yes, prices have risen. The cost of materials has skyrocketed due to oil prices, and the dollar is at an all-time low against the Euro. We were forced to raise prices or operate at a loss. We prefer to stay in business.
