Family Adventure to Anza Borrego

Hello!

I recently packed up the wife and kids and headed down south to Anza Borrego, California for some adventures (we're from Canada, Vancouver area).

Pretty epic scenery in that park! We hit up Borrego Springs for the Desert Statues, then Font's Point, then the Slot, then into Fish Creek Wash, Sandstone Canyon, Wind Caves, Diablo Drop-off, Arroyo Tapiado Mud Caves and finally the Dolomite Mine Ruins. We left the park on Highway #8 and headed to Arizona for some exploring.

Here's a video!

Great video. Thanks for sharing. I was there for the first time over New Years, so this brought back good memories.
I hope you have a great time in AZ. Lots of great areas to explore!

A-B DSP is a GREAT park! It's the largest State park in California. Very happy to hear you enjoyed it - it's one of our favorites (and it's only 4 hours away for us).

When you were at Fonts Point you were overlooking the badlands. Did you "tour" through them?

Thanks Guys! Agreed, it is a fantastic park to explore.

While at Font's Point, I could see the various roads through the badlands below, but sadly no, we did not tour them.

As for places to go, we entered through Fish Creek Wash, where you can stop by the wind caves, drive Sandstone Canyon, drive Diablo Drop-off and enter the top of Arroyo Tapiado. We exited through Sin Nombre Canyon and out to the West Dolomite Mine Trail. We were only in the area 2 days, but could see countless other places to explore. Next time for sure. I want to run Pinyon Canyon with the Squeeze and Heart Attack Hill ;-)

Cheers! ~ Paul.
