I like to think we were Overlanders before it became really cool. I used to drool over EarthRoamer, but had a minivan budget.
So...our minivan and small trailer became our tool to see the US. We took this rig all over California, WY, SD, Yellowstone, Florida, and many local Midwestern Camping trips! I need to dig deeper for a better picture, but this one was the last iteration of my trailer designed for easy camp set up. A friend and I talked, back in the early 2000’s, about building trailers set up for minivan camping. If I only knew then what I know now!!
This van, when unhooked from the trailer, did some awesome dirt roads, and once went up a trail labeled 4x4 only, mainly because I wanted to get away from people.
It has me wanting to set up another van for my wife and I to enjoy travel in!
