A couple of months ago, my brother found a "deal" on a used Snorkel to fit my 2001 Tacoma. I have been able to locate most of the hardware that I need but I am a little ignorant on two items.
Screw- S/T 4.2mm x 13mm
Body Clip-Plastic
The clip should be a tight fit in an 8mm hole. The picture on the Safari Snorkel looks just like the square thingys that push into a bumper to hold the license plate. The license plate ones are bigger than 8mm. Anyone know where I could find 3 of these?
I contacted Wendy and Wil at Sierra Expeditions, who in turn contacted ARB. Great people great service but no help from ARB.
The next thing I need is the template. The actual physical template. Wendy sent me 3 pieces of paper that apparently fit together in some parallel universe to make a template. Perhaps I'm a retard, but I dont have a clue how it goes. Surely there is a way to get the full size, printed on cardstock template. Does anyone have there old template that they could mail to me? I really dont want to drill holes in the wrong place. Is there anyone in North-central Arizona that would be willing to lend me a hand with this project?
The lack of hardware is a setback I can deal with, Go to the hardware store with a list and an open mind. I'm thinking it should be less than $10.00 worth of bits and pieces. The template however.......I'm stuck!
