Fathers Day in the desert

A small group of guys got together with kids and friends and spent Fathers Day in the Sonoran Desert SW of Phoenix. Our destination was the old stone house hidden in the Sierra Estrella mountains.

After a dusty then rocky trip the vehicles had to get parked and it was a moderate 3/4 mile hike up a draw to get to the house.

My son perched on the North wall of the stone house taking in the view.

Rest of the photos were taken by my 10 year old son. :victory:

I'll get better at posting these. No pictures of my ride- funny how that works when you give your kid a camera

Nice, I really envy you guys in the desert sometimes for all the cool old locations to go see. Up here, anything left unattended falls down pretty quick.

Its good to see people using their R50 off road instead of just on the pavement. I had one with full skid plate protection, it was a very capable vehicle. I went place that lifted vehicle went, I just used my skid plates ALOT!

Yeap- things stay around for a while in the desert. People are the problem- not the weather.
