I love a good build thread! They have greatly helped me save money and make wise choices on making my Toyota 4runners the most pleasing and practical for me. I hope this will enlighten and entertain you as well as myself as my 4runner grows.
My plans now are to make this a moderate trail rig as well as my daily driver. Mountain biking is my number one hobby so mountain access is an important factor.
My first car was a '95 4runner. I still love it. It taught me a lot and introduced me to Yotatech, Torra, 4runner.org and my favorite Expedition Portal. After much research I knew I wanted a 3rd gen and Craigslist is where I found it in September of 2009 just 20 mintutes away. One owner a older gentleman who passed away and left it to his wife who had no use for it. I certainly do though!
1996 Toyota 4runner, 3.4l V6, Auto, Limited, Elocker, 4.30 gears, 65,000 miles. All service records and still smells new. My dream car
