Let me start off by saying that I would love to keep this van to build an amazing off-road rig, but starting a business, funds are more important at the moment. I bought it from the original owner this past December—older gentleman who was a retired carpenter and used it mainly for personal use. He was meticulous with maintenance and changed oil every 5,000 miles using OEM Motorcraft Oil and added Zetane Booster to every tank of diesel.
The good: I have the original window sticker, important specs include the infamous 7.3 Powerstroke Diesel that has never been modified—all original. The van is outfitted in Toreador Red Metallic, Chateau Package with 7 Passenger Seating configuration, tow package. The E-350 Super Duty Van has a clean Carfax, never been in an accident, has never been smoked in, runs and drives great as it should, and is CLEAN in and out. Mechanically it’s strong and I drive it weekly across the state (about 500 miles round trip). Only 159k miles!
The not so bad: The front suspension is starting to show its age. The van was a northern vehicle, but the previous owner repaired any rust to the body. It looks clean underneath, and does not have any issues. The clear coat is peeling in small spots on the hood and there is another spot on drivers door. Aside from that, the paint is great for its age with no major scratches, dings, or dents.
Price: I have not found any 2002 E-350 7.3 Powerstroke Diesels with the Chateau Package in the country for sale $16,900, but I’m open to reasonable suggestions.
I will try to take pictures tomorrow, but attached are pics the day I purchased it.
