Odometer looks somewhat questionable on the second one (the '1' is darker than the rest of the digits) but both are good looking trucks. That cargo box looks to be itching for a conversion. There's a guy in upstate NY that has converted a box like that into a camper on an FG.

Here's one he sent me when I was thinking of purchasing it. I attached two other pictures to an earlier thread so it won't allow me to attach them again.

Kerry, thanks for posting these links. It's fun to see how the Fuso FG has changed over the years.

I thought "salvage title" means that the insurance company decided a damaged vehicle would be too expensive to repair, so they pay off the policy holder and sell the damaged vehicle. Then the new owner fixes up the damage.

In the case of the red 2007 Fuso with 4900 miles, wouldn't a salvage title mean the damage was extensive and costly, more extensive than what is apparent when you look at the photos in the ad?

tamangel, the Fuso FG that Kim and Don Greene built has a camper that is similar in size to the box on the 2001. Here's a photo of their camper:

Given Doug Hackney's frame problems, I'm wondering if a heavy load stuck in the bed, it was raised on uneven ground, twisted and broke or damaged the frame? I've seen a dump truck fall over on it's side in similar conditions. The Fuso frame may be too flexible to tip the truck over. That would result in an expensive repair.

Here's the reply I got from the seller of the red FG to my question as to the cause of the salvaged title:

Hi and thanks for the email. We picked this one up at a dealer auction here in Texas. When we received the vehicle it had already been repaired and appears to be in good condition. There are no accidents reported on the vehicle history report but the title is a salvaged title. Everything is in good working order. I'd be more than happy to answer any other questions you may have so feel free to send me an email or call me at your earliest convenience. I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks again,
