fiberglass grating for many uses

2 in thick 2 in square hole grating as seen in the budget bridging ladder thread in recovery gear.

I am looking to find others that want sections of this material for whatever use, works great for bridging, under your shower, as a deck for your roof rack and has many other uses. material is from AMgrating.com you can see the product and the strength tables at their website. If you need a certain size I can figure out the cuts on a sheet and shoot you a price once a full sheet is used.

for an idea: the tables say that with a line load centered between the supports of 3 feet and a product width of 1 foot 1000 lbs will deflect the bridge by .38 inches and it has a max loading of 1544 lbs. a wider bridge will support more weight.

the sheets are 4 feet by 12 feet

i am looking for 4 feet by 14 or 18 inches for a set. They will cut to our specs at no charge. I imagine that they will (and should) charge a handling fee for shipping to each person.

one sheet is $517.00
colors are light grey, green or yellow. I have no preference, will probably coat mine with rinoliner or similar for traction and abrasion resistance.

aperently there is confusion, each set will include 2 pieces 16 in x 4 feet.

4 sets at 16 width $130 /set + shipping/handling

I think I would be interested. So you are going to take possession of all units then ship to us? Or they are going to drop whip to each individual address?

You might want to make sure they will cut that one piece and break up the order and ship to each individual.

We ship all over the world every day but will not drop ship like that even for our dealers. That might end up being a deal killer.

i believe they would, as they have supplied these before, but usually cutoffs from their fab shop. I am told they do not have much for cut offs right now. We only need one more person and i will contact him again with the order.

Something to think about: everytime you make a cut off that 4x12 sheet you will lose 2" off each cut side. Everybody is going to want smooth edges, not "fingers" hanging off, so those will have to be trimmed, and you will lose 2" by doing so.

You can still cut them to 18", or whatever width you want. 16" would be the sweet spot though b/c you'd get 4 sets of two, each at 16" wide, including the 14" of waste.

I've used them in the past and their stuff is pretty high-quality. They also have spec sheets on their site.
