Fighting the road

This photostory is about how we went to discover new routes for our Nissan 4x4 Club events for a half a day (all guys planned to get back home in the evening) and got stuck till late night in the snow and bog. It took about 20 hours to get back to normal road, all gas tanks were empty. Woooofff... I came home at 5am and got sleep in 2 seconds. -)) Enjoy the photos ))

taco chaser, I saw it. Very cool! Your cars have serious suspension lift. Ours don't have it (except my car, but it's all hand-made and I don't think it may be called 'suspension lift' -)))). Did you have trouble riding the snow? We had. It's hotter and hotter every day here and snow became more 'wet' and hard to go.

Conditions change so fast when it comes to snow, in fact all that snow has already melted off here. It's really cool to see snow wheeling in Russia and I enjoyed the photos. The internet is an amazing tool. All are rigs are home built too, it's the only way to go, so props to you guys and your sweet rigs.:) Are your diffs locked front and rear ?

no, I don't have any lockers. I think I will install rear locker before my trip to Iran in this spring.

That will make your next trip a little less stressfull and you will notice a huge difference in traction. If you can make or buy a set of chains for your rig combined with a locker, it will be like a little tank on your next snow run. The blue fj 60 is locked only in the rear and he was running chains in the rear, that let him plow through three feet of snow. WOW Iran trip, sounds cool, I look foward to seeing some photos from that.

Red Pathfinder on my photos has rear locker. But it didn't help much, because snow was wet and looked like a stone wall after 2-3 meters of move. The car was stopping and digging the terrain under itself. I saw how my Swampers digged 0.5 meter hole under my car after one round -))
The only way I see to have successfull wheeling there is to have big tires, so they could step over the 'snow wall'. Anyway, it was a good experience for me -) My car didn't stuck too much because I have my diffs upper than the whole axles. Like Volvo Laplander or Mercedes Unimog has.
