so where i live all the trails are rutted up by trucks with 35" tires or bigger. so i decided to go a touch bigger.

right now 4" lift with 33's but 5.5" springs are in the mail. first pic is how she was last year. and so far this year.

thank you, i am very excited to get the springs now. no more being high centered on the huge ruts.

Looks great. Seems 35's have become the norm on the trails now and anyone running below it CAN (please all non 35's note the word) make it a little harder.

Eek, I hope you ordered long arms to go with those springs. Are you still running the lp30 and stock gears? I'm looking forward to the pictures of the fenders after you break out the sawzall.

i have a short arm fully adjustable kit. with the 5.5 it will tuck just fine. she has 373 gears in her which worked fine on my last jeep as well, but at some point 4:10's and a locker, and upgraded axles. BUt like most things this is a work in progress.

Same here... I have the stock 3.73's with the I6 and a manual trans. Thank god my daily commute is less than 5 miles 1 way! As much as I would love a D44/D60 combo with 4.88's or 5.13's thats WAY off in the budget so for now I just did new shafts upfront with an auto locker and easy wheeling style.

Good luck man, your pinion angles are going to suck and the drive line vibrations will keep you awake, and make sure you carry spare u-joints. My 96 has adjustable short arms with an hp30 on RE 4.5 in springs and it is tolerable, but before swapping in the hp30 the Jeep wandered over the road a lot more and it just sucked driving it. My 97 is on long arms and rides better than stock even with the 7 inch springs.

yeah mine right now is smooth as glass. however i have adjusted the pinion angle and lengthened the drive shaft a tad. but we'll see, worst comes to worse i will have a new parts list.

As a wheeler, the 35s are much better (and there's a lot of clearance under there). However for looks, I think this is one of the few times I can think of where I like the look of the smaller tire.

Doesn't look any different, where are the 35's? And why does it look like that other ZJ doesn't clear its tires very well?
