finally got a m101

well after lots of looking finally got a m101 and work has begun stripped down to bare bones and started to strip paint down to bare metal lots of work
plans are not certain yet but will be buildind back bumper with swing out tire carrier and will also be building rack for top propane water storage and possibly a hard top am putting new axel spring hangers ect.will be painting epsom green mica to match the rover pics will come tomarrow

well i started stripping paint and this is no easy task but after 2 days of sanding and grinding i am almost ready for some primer did have a few small holes under that 1/4 inch of paint but very straight for the most part so here are a few pics of the progress

well got the trailer just about ready for primer.so tonight i put the new hangers on the frame and mounted the new springs and axel so i can roll it inside the shop to spray primer will post new pics this weekend

well after lots of work i got the box in primer and just about ready to shoot with spray on bed liner

well i finally got the bumper and the swing out tire carrier done today and got paint on the trailer now just wire lights tomarrow and i will be ready will put up pics tomarrow

Nice work! Looks like all you used of the org trailer was the tub? IMHO that's the best thing to do with the 101. Did you weigh it to see how much eacess weight you dropped?

That's a great looking 101. I just won 2 M101a2's on govliquidator.com. Both with the bows and canvas. Not sure what direction to go....so I will be watching this thread. Again, looks great!:drool:

picked up a brother sewing machine at the pawn shop and just made a tonneau cover tonight it goes frome the diamond plate tool box i put on the front back will put pics up tomarrow it is to dark now next i think i am going to tackle my own rtt

trailer worked great and pulled great do need to put shocks did want to bownce around on the old road out to youth area wash board old clay road
