Finally got the spare tire out of my bed!

I finally got my bed back after having my spare tire in there for the last 3 years. I got a high clearance bumper with a custom tire swing out from Brute Force Fab. I really wanted to be able to open my glass on the rear of my shell without having to swing out the entire swing out, so Bill custom fabbed the tire carrier to be able to swing down and clear the glass. I am super impressed with the quality of the fab work. The bumper lined up perfectly when I installed it. This thing is stout! It was a little nerve wracking cutting off the rear quarter panels of my truck, especially because they had no damage on them. Here are some grainy Iphone photos from my install.....

As an aside, did you cut it out higher than called for, or is that the way its supposed to sit? It looks like a very large gap, but its probably just the pictures.

It called for cutting even with the bottom of the rear tail lights. The pics without the rear swing out on are before I finished the position. It ended up being about a 1 inch gap. I still need to get a sheet metal edge gasket for it.

Is Brute Force local to riverside? What did it cost roughly?
