Finally Made It To Colorado

Well I made it, finally thank god. I left DC on july 22 with a Uhual trailer packed down to the max and the wife and kid. Decided to do a " do it yourself" move from the Army. First we drove to Texas where we stayed with my parents for 3 days in Texarkana, where we had car trouble with my wifes Buick. We then frove north through Kanas and into Colorado.
Let me tell you if you ever get the chance drive across this great country of ours you'll enjoy it it is beutiful and the people you will meet are great. Well we get into Colorado get into Denver and get our apartment. We hated that place from the start they told us the wrong price and on and on, but since we had no place to live we were screwed. We take the place and got about half way unloaded. The next morning we wake up and the whole apartment building reeks of weed. The manager came with a can of air freshener and says "oh that happens alot" screw that we moved out. so finally we find a place in Parker after crashing on our friends floor for 3 days. Then one day me retarded *** decided to go swimming well not realizing that the air is thinner here after about an hour I am so burned I got blisters all on my back, and finally the cable and internet was hooked up yesterday.

Whew.... well we are here got a job with RTD as transit security until I get on a department out here. so yeah.

oh yeah only got cell phone picS from the trip cause like an idiot I packed the camera in the trailer so i'll try to post some later

Welcome to Colorado! Now get out and enjoy what we got here - with sun screen :). Lots of us here on the boards from these parts so you shouldn't have a hard time finding like minded people.

Welcome to Colorado! That sucks about the first apartment:mad:, I've lived in apartments in Denver and certainly never had that happen.

Yeah, if you aren't used to it here you can end up kind of crispy in the sun.

I think you'll find most folks here pretty laid back, kind of a "live and let live" attitude.
