Fire extinguisher mounting in a 1st gen Tundra *updated*

Does anyone have a fire extinguisher mounted in the cab of their 1st gen Tundra? What size and where/how did you mount it?

I'm looking for ideas for my 2005 double cab. I'm thinking on the floor behind the driver's seat, but then it would be hard to access when we're fully loaded. Perhaps beside the seat next to the B-pillar. I have a feeling I'm gonna be limited to a 2.5 or 5lb'er. Once I get a cap for my truck, I want to mount at least a 10lb'er in the bed as well as have the little one in the cab.

I put a 2.5 in the center console of the truck. Mounted the bracket on the floor of the center console and put it in there. I don't keep much crap in the truck so its easily accessible. Its come in handy once... I should get it refilled.

Also on the transmission tunnel on the passenger side would work.

In the console is actually a great idea I never thought of that. I was eyeballing the passenger side as well like you say. I'll see what the girlfriend says since she rides on that side all the time. LOL.

Here's what I came up with. 3 self tapping screws hold the mount to the side of the hump under the rear seat of my double cab. The seat moulding is notched almost like it's meant to have a fire extinguisher there. Works perfectly and it will be quick to access even with the backseat loaded with gear.

No, that wouldn't have worked for me. My front seats aren't power operated so the release bar for them is right where the extinguisher is in that picture.

The spot I mounted it on my truck is pretty much perfect for me for 2 reasons: 1. It doesn't affect any functionality with seating or cargo while still being easily accessible. 2. It's on the same side and seat where I keep my first aid pack. That keeps my emergency gear consolidated in one area.
