I'm looking to place a 2014 Finch on my 2020 Tacoma with a 6' bed. The camper is located many many hours away. Otherwise I would just investigate this by trying to fit it myself, but before I drive out to pick it up I want to make sure it will fit properly.
I've called multiple outfitters asking for their insight and I have gotten mixed responses. Some have said to go for it saying it will fit great with no overhang (and potentially even being able to close the tailgate (which I may or may not do)). Others have said that there may end up being a large gap (potentially 12") between the front of the camper and the back of the cab.
I reached out to FWC directly to discuss the issue and people at the Nor Cal and So Cal locations both said they don't see any issue with the fit. They do no think there will be a gap.
I would like the camper to fit all the way forward. From what I have gathered I think that it will work out, but I am curious if anyone has tried this configuration before and has any insight.
