Fitting CDL to D2 using D1 parts

THis is for the cdl shifter. You also generally need the tcase front output.

Only negative about the d1 shifter is it's bolted to the tcase and transmits vibrations to the cabin.

I may be wrong but the D2 uses a cable shift which can be hard and expensive to sourse, and this thread I have linked to shows how to do it with D1 parts which may be more readily available.
Not sure really as I have a D1

I have the d1 shifter in my 03. The shifter in my 04 is far smoother and does not transmit vibrations to the cabin.

My Tdi vibrates so much I don't notice the T-case shifter
