FJ build ideas?

Strider

Observer
Anybody tackled building a rear bumper for the FJ, one with a tire/jerry can rack?

I did it for my TJ and will do one for my wife's JK, but don't want to reinvent the wheel for the FJ.
I have also considered making a bulbar for the FJ, but it seems better to get the OME Bullbar, which looks just perfect in my opinion.
I may make the bulbar for the Jeep JK though, as the OME one looks lacking to me.

Another thing is the snorkel, seems like $400+ is a bit steep, but I don't want my FJ to look ridiculous. Anyone put together a good looking snorkel for the FJ?
I've seen some made with flexible corrugated rubber tube or something somewhere but can't find it. All the other homemade snorkels I've seen tend to look really bad. Again, don't wan to reinvent the wheel.

Figure I'll do a build thread when I get started.

Thanks!

I did not build a bumper for the rear, I went expedition one. Quality is amazing, swing out carries rotopax cans and a highlift. Also, they factor in backup camera mounting. I highly recomend.

Chinese-manufactured ARB knockoff from what I understand. There was some quality concerns in the beginning, but they seem to be holding up well for a few of the FJ Forum members - http://www.fjcruiserforums.com/forums/general-discussion/185434-cheap-snorkel-vs-safari-snorkel.html

Looks like some extra plastic flashing to clean up from the mold, but otherwise the install is the same as a Safari Snorkel - http://www.fjcruiserforums.com/foru...covery-gear-prg-snorkel-install-overview.html

They also have an optional $40 pre-cleaner to replace the normal 'periscope' inlet as some member were concerned about water intake during heavy rain - http://pathfinderoutdoors.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=63&product_id=173
