Quality, 100% total frame off restoration performed, top to bottom, inside and out. Completely overhauled 4.2 Liter 2F 6 cylinder engine with Toyota factory power steering, H42 4 speed transmission with new (not re-furbished) factory Toyota transfer case, powered disc brakes, factory Toyota steel wheels with hub caps, removable hard top (never removed since restoration), original headache rack, original sheet metal including fenders, bed and tailgate.

If you are looking for a like brand new 1965 Toyota FJ45 pickup, look no further. This truck was stripped down to the very last bolt, and refurbished back to original (or better than original quality) or purchased new from Toyota, to maintain bone-stock brand new appearance and performance.

The frame was media blasted to bare metal and powder coated for extra durability and longevity. The drive train is a thoroughly refurbished 2F straight six engine mated to a 4 speed transmission and transfer case. When refurbished, Factory Toyota power steering was added to this pickup as a bonus.

This truck always starts without hesitation. The axles are from a newer FJ40 with disc brakes, completely overhauled, again all factory Toyota. During restoration, the original 1965 firewall was replaced with a newer 1976 firewall with heater console and all switches and controls maintaining factory Toyota stock appearance.

The interior has been completely refurbished from top to bottom with new everything including all new factory Toyota window seals and rubber. Also replaced were the headliner, seat upholstery and floor mats. When you open the door, it smells just like a brand new car sitting on the showroom floor, and drives as well as it looks.

This truck has never been in inclement weather (including rain), never 4 wheeled or left outside longer than a few hours. Less than 2,500 miles have been put on this truck since 1999.

More photos upon request. Please no tire kickers, serious inquiries only.

Looks and sounds like a museum piece. If you ever stopped by Stapp Toyota off i25 they keep a few vintage Toyota models on display. Perhaps they may have an interest.

If it was kept stock I'd say it'd be a museum piece but this is a resto mod built into a driver. Was not aware that green was offered in 1965, was the paint colour changed for any particular reason?

Not to be snarky to the OP, but Expo is not the best place to post this truck. Bring a trailer or IH8MUD would be better venues.

I think it will bring the asking price or close to it. These have always been rare in CONUS, and this one is a beaut! I hear people say all the time that if they could buy a new Defender, IH Scout; FJ 4*, or early bronco they would do it in a heartbeat. Here's their chance.

A number of posts have been deleted. There's no need to post your opinions on the asking price or validity of the vehicle being sold.

The OP did a good job of describing what exactly this is. It's worth what ever someone is willing to pay for it. If no one is willing to pay the asking price (or negotiate - in private - a lower price), then the vehicle won't sell. Simple as that.
