FJ80 or 3rd gen 4Runner. What would be a better expo truck?

I've owned two 3rd gen 4runners over the years. The most recent was a clean 00 Sport model (in my favorite color- black :drool
with the rear locker. I wanted an 80 but settled for a 4runner which didn't turn out well. I am 5'11" 180lbs and I simply did not fit inside of it. Sitting comfortably my head was pressed against the sun roof hump which was super annoying. With my wife, two young kids one in a car seat and two large dogs there just wasn't enough interior space. The gigantic rear hatch was another thing I didn't like. I love tail gates but even a big single door or two barn doors would have been fine--the hatch drove me bananas. Outstanding vehicles don't get me wrong it just didn't do what I needed it to do.
I went back to searching for an 80 when soon after I stumbled across my 100. The stars aligned and everything makes sense to me now. Good luck,
