Anyone have one? Can you tell me the plus and minus's of owning one?

I am really considering buying one. Where is the best location.
This is what I am talking about if nobody has seen one.
By the way, I am new here. My name is Scott from WV.

Hi Scott,
Welcome to Expedition Portal. Its a bit slow on Mondays around here. As far as the "AT Flippac" I would say go for it. The AT Flippac is more heavy duty than the standard Flippac. MARTYN is the guy to PM. I just ordered mine for my project "Land Yacht" See my signature below for a link. They are very well thought out and gives you the most bang for your buck in my opinion. VIKING VINCE has a Flippac on his Toyota and I went on a Mojave run with him and a few other members. I slept in my Jeep Grand Cherokee and was a bit cramped. I was by myself. No room for anyone else and gear. Vince was living in style and was perfectly content! Anyway hope this helps.

Thanks man, I have contacted several people about these, several being three different sites and I am really interested but wanted to know what others thought.

I was quoted 6150.00 for a FlipPac Camper top for a 6'6 Pickup Bed full size with and awning preinstalled and no windows and shipped to Morgantown, WV where I am from.

This sound right? Reasonable?

If you order one order the "AT Flippac". For a full size thats about right. Im at about 6300 with all the add ons including two side windows and two additional LED lights and 12 volt sockets. The AT version is better suited for off road use. Heres a link to there site: http://www.adventuretrailers.com/index.html

Heres a link to Martyns Member page. PM him from there.

You have to realize that the AT FlipPac is not the same as the shells produced by Flippac.

Our shells are specifically designed for off-road use. We analyzed how FlipPac was making their shells and had them make our shells to our specifications.

Part of the confusion on the differences between the AT FlipPac and FlipPacs has been compounded because the front desk people at FlipPac didn't, and maybe still don't know, that there are differences in the construction process.

If you are using your FlipPac on the road the regular version is fine. If you need something more applicable to dirt roads and trails then the AT FlipPac would be better for you.

Well it sounds like the AT FlipPac is what I need. Because the people at FlipPac.com told me nothing about that. They quoted me 3950 and then 1450 Shipping to WV using Iceman Trucking company.

Currently I only have about 3-4 grand of disposable income for the next 3 months So I plan to get one when I have enough to order it and pay in full or know for sure I will have the other 50% by ship time.

I say make a road trip to pic it up! Maybe hit a few trails on your way back home to break her in. Besides they have all the tools and equipment to get her installed with a dust proof seal and done right.

Where I live we get lots of noseums and mosquito netting doesn't seem to stop them.

Very functional and looks well made. Where are they made? Where is the fabric made?

The mesh on the windows is extremely fine weave. If you are having problems with no seeums spray the net with "Skin so soft".

Part of the issue may be the area around the tailgate and rear window. We are working on a rear mozi net to cover the back entrance to the AT FlipPac
