Hi all,
My offroad teardrop suffered some damage and will be out of action for a while. That got me thinking about a simple, lightweight bunk for the shell of my truck. While I don't exactly 'overland', I spend a lot of time off-road exploring old ghost towns and abandoned mines. There is always a lot of climbing, camera, and camping gear, so space is at a premium. We all know that song, right? I got the idea of a fold down bunk when I remembered my grandma's drop-leaf table.
I made this one with cheap(?) lumber from home depot. A little better quality would have produced a nicer finish, but this turned out plenty good for my use. I thought I would share in case anyone is looking for a space saving solution for the back of their truck. Hope to see some of you all out on the trails!
