For Sale - OVS Nomadic 4 Roof Top Tent - LA Area

Hi everyone,

I have 2 of these tents for sale. One is mounted on my Ram 2500 and one on my Ram 3500. My two Quebec plated trucks have been in LA since Covid started! I made it down twice and used these tents on two Baja trips. They have each been slept in for 8 nights - sad but true.

Here's the link on the OVS site: https://overlandvehiclesystems.com/18149936-ovs-nomadic-4-extended-roof-top-tent-in-dark-gray/

The tents are great - they're huge (two big guys who would never share a hotel bed will happily share this. A couple with a kid is no issue. 3 teenagers is comfortable. 4 little kids is comfortable), they're comfortable - the mattress is thick and the ventilation is really good, they're pretty easy to set up (5 min on your second try) and not too bad to put away (8 min true time with an assistant). you can leave your bedding inside.

The rain flys are well made but I never tested them in rain.

So here's the details of each one:

Tent "A" - on the 2500:
  • fabric, cover, fly, mattress all in perfect like new shape
  • pole used for holding ladder opening apart from main tent has a bend in it but works fine as is.
  • Price: $1,200 USD (no taxes) (these are $1,649 new + tax if you can find them)
Tent "B" - on the 3500
  • fabric, cover, fly, mattress all in perfect like new shape
  • pole used for holding ladder opening apart from main tent was broken and I have a brand new one
  • 2 of the 4 straps used to sandwich the two halves together are torn - these straps compress the two halves before the heavy canvas cover goes on so it's not really an issue because the 2 that aren't torn are the key straps but someone fussy will want to repair these.
  • Price: $1,150 (to make up for the two torn straps which will be easy to fix if you want to do it)
Roof Top Tent ANNEX - this attaches to the underside of the unfolded portion of the tent and creates a nice changing room/shower/toilet area under the tent.
My trucks are parked close to LAX. I'm in Montreal. So whomever wants these will just need to drive to the truck yard and remove them from my vehicles. The trucks have a very complete set of tools and the guard can make those available. Should be a 20 min job to get them off - they're both mounted on to cross bars on ARE toppers.

Hope these can make someone happy! Available as of today.
