For Sale: Propex HS2000 in Adventure Trailers toolbox

I have custom-built a Propex HS2000 into an older Adventure Trailers toolbox and had it installed on my roof rack last year to heat an RTT. I am moving all my gear to a van and would like to have a Propex HS2211 (to mount under the frame).

A lot of work went into my HS2000 setup. The ducting can be attached to the box without opening it. If someone is interested in this I'd either sell the entire setup for the price of an HS2211 or trade it for an HS2211. Otherwise I'll take my setup apart and reuse the HS2000 in my van.

The heater is about two years old and had no problems last season. Details about the setup can be seen towards the end of my Jeep build thread in my signature. Let me know if you are interested.

Thanks.

I have had a lot of PMs already. Here is some clarification.

I'm in Montana. It looks like an HS 2211 is about $900.00 shipped, so I'd sell my heater and toolbox for that amount shipped CONUS.

Keep in mind that this isn't a "plug in and use it" setup. There will be some light fabrication involved. Most likely you will need to change the access holes for wires, propane inlets, etc.. Currently the propane line runs through the bottom of the box. If you plan to install this on a Frontrunner Slimline II rack it will fit like it's made to do it. But, I assembled the entire setup in place on the rack. You are going to need to be a handy fellow or fellowette to set this up.

If you are worried about looks everything will probably need to be touched up and powder-coated while it's disassembled.

If you do indeed intend to mount this on a Frontrunner Slimline II rack I would sell the propane tank, brackets, regulator brackets, and everything for another $500.00. Of course, can't ship the full propane tank. You'd have to be close to me.

So, let's say:
  • Propex HS 2000 and tool box = $900.00 shipped CONUS
  • Entire propane setup (tank, brackets, regulator brackets and hoses) = $500.00 picked up locally
  • Entire propane setup (without tank, brackets, regulator bracket, hoses, and quick-release fitting) = $200.00 plus actual shipping.
