For Sale: Snow Peak BBQ Box CK-130. Other than the typical heat/carbon spots (see photos) this is in great condition.

I fabbed a coal "riser" to allow air to circulate (thanks for the idea Tony!) under the coals for: Faster light, hotter and more even burning of the coals. There are also 2-1/4-20 nutserts on the bottom where I had a shoe for my tri-pod mounted (not included).

$145. Includes free ground shipping to lower 48.

Bummed you're selling it, especially since it's the only one I've seen tripod mounted :)

I like what you used for the coal bed...what did you use?

Tony,

Perf'd steel with a couple 3/4"x1/8" as risers and stiffeners (to keep it from heat warping).

Just noticed your sig line...you're in Denver now?

Dan, I think that's a sign from the overlanding gods that you should keep it, too awesome to part with :)

I'm intrigued by the tripod mount, do you have any pics?
How do you deal with the tripod head heating up?

The tripod head, with this BBQ Box, doesn't get hot; the coals don't sit on the bottom surface of the BBQ Box.

Works fantastically. Universal Really Right Stuff mount on the bottom of the BBQ atop their medium ball head mount (with quick release) atop a Gitzo tripod. The tripod and RRS I already had and use for photography...otherwise I would have bought something less expensive for just the BBQ.
