The concept of the L300 or “Delica” as some call it is simple but unique: a spacious van with a real 4X4 drivetrain. The quality of Japanese car mechanics is legendary. With a first registration in 1998, this is one of the last “good old diesels” without computers and electronic gadgets.

This L300, is without a doubt the best vehicle for long trips with two people. With its long wheelbase (+40cm) and high roof (+10cm), it is very spacious. With a length of 477cm, it still fits on a regular parking space. (that’s 30cm shorter than a Landcruiser 78 troopy) The double sliding doors are very handy. The drivetrain is based on pajero: a part-time 4x4 with low range and a limited-slip differential. It does surprisingly well on the steepest jeep tracks and drives comfortably on the highway. The perfect balance between on-road and off-road, between comfort and compactness. Fully professionally furnished and ready to go.

CAMPER

The car has been converted into a camper according to a unique concept: comfort, simplicity and durability.
ontwerp.jpg

the design was made based on a 3d scan of the van (my neighbour happened to be a 3d scanning bussiness:))

Comfort:
A daily hot shower is the key to a pleasant journey. Thanks to the truma gas boiler and outdoor shower, this is possible.
douche2.jpg

A trumatic s2200 gas heater keeps the interior nice and warm without electricity consumption or loud fan. Thanks to the built-in 30l LPG tank, you can even heat for several weeks in winter without refueling.
Seating area with 5 seats around the table.
zetel2.jpg

The camper is well insulated: the floor and walls lined with 2 cm PUR and 4 cm for the roof.
Condensation is often a problem in a camper. This problem is completely eliminated here by a coating of spray cork. All metal parts of the interior where condensation could occur are covered with this.

The combination of the insulation and the spray cork makes the camper extremely suitable for winter camping and traveling to the north or other cold places.

The warm white, dimmable led strips run the entire length of the camper and create a very cozy interior.
bed2.jpg

The bed is 140cm wide with an extra 5cm of space on each side. The bedside cubbies are very handy and do not reduce the space.

Very extensive storage possibilities: 4 huge drawers under the bed. Extra storage next to the drawers and behind the bench.

Extra map box with cup holders and bottle holders between the front seats.

30l cool box compressor fridge/freezer.
The 220W solar panels provide enough electricity: Charging in a campsite is never necessary.

Simplicity:
No complicated control panels. The utilities do what they should do.
No built-in kitchen, but a loose gas stove so you can choose where you cook: On the pull-out table at the back, on a picnic table, or inside the camper if the weather is bad.
No fixed water tank, but space for 5 25L jerry cans that can easily be filled at any tap, river or spring. The water for the shower is pumped directly from a jerry can.

Durability:
Only durable materials are used: a solid oak floor, cabinets and drawers made of plywood poplar, drawer slides with a rating of 200kg, ETFE solar panels, Victron charge controller, Truma heater and boiler,…

CHASSIS AND BODYWORK

This L300 has a completely rust-free chassis. All rusty chassis parts have been removed and replaced. Where necessary, new pieces were made. The chassis is fully protected with 3 layers of Brantho corrux paint. All hollow spaces and sensitive seams are treated with mike sanders corrosion protection grease (the best solution for long-term rust protection)

The bodywork will still be treated in a material and color of the buyer’s choice.
