Thanks to Cackalak Han (Paul( for setting this trip/run up and Westernhunter (Greg or Mike, sorry I forgot your name :wavey: ) for leading. The trail up to Forest Lake was the first bit of rock crawling (to some degree)that I've done since leaving Arizona and it was a blast :wings:. The snow on the trail kept things interesting and being the only people on the trail up until Cascade Springs was great.

Once we complete the trip up to Forest Lake we headed over to Cascade Springs and back to the asphalt that is the Alpine Loop.

It was a great day to be up in mountains despite being a little cold and tired from a 6am wake up call.:coffeedrink:

So instead of a long, winded write-up on my part (being lazy its midnight)I've condensed my photo's into a little 4:30 minute video. Enjoy the photos and the music. Best viewed in full-scree mode / HD option.

Here are some of my pics. Was a good trip. The trail wasn't as bad as I thought, but my sliders did show a couple of scrapes, so I was glad I got that installed beforehand, but I think with better picked lines, I'd have been ok without them. Good times, nonetheless. I'm glad to have made it up there before they closed the gates for the winter. The weather was just about perfect.
