found 99 winter package and have few questions

i finally found a 99 winter package and im going to drive it tomorrow i hope. its a private owner and here is what the ad says

98 Mitsubishi Montero 4WD 90k on rebuild, 214k overall all service records, clean inside and out, new tires, sunroof, seats 7 passengers, DVD Player, Digital touch screen stereo, leather seats, AC, electric windows/doors/locks/seats. I NEED A TRUCK, feel free to email any ideas or pics of what your trade offer is. Thanks $2700.00 OBO

it has 214k on the truck and that seems like a lot and 90k on the rebuilt i'm sure it would need to do the timing chain and water pump but it might be ok. anyway you insight would be ok. if it was 80 series lc i would jump on this and i want to make sure thats not messing with my decision.

90k on the rebuild means its time to do the water pump and associated belts including the timing belt, tensioners and possibly idler pulley bearings. Also consider replacing the crankshaft pulley bolt with the latest updated one from Mitsubishi.
