FREE Garmin GPS mapping software

I found this company that offers free topo maps, and regular maps, for the Garmin GPS systems. Anyone here in the western states want to try it out? Unfortunately they have no MD topo maps yet or I would download it and give it a try and report back.

Any takers?

I have download the maps for Colorado, Utah, Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico. They all have 40 meter contour intervals and are far superior to the 100K series topo maps produced by Garmin. They loaded without incident to RoadTrip and transfered seamlessly to my Garmin 376 gps device. Highly recommended.

I grabbed CA's 911 MB file (!) and it loads into Mapsource, but I've yet to U/L it to my GPS. Looks really good!

How long is it taking to download the CA map (911mb) version. I go to do it and it says like an hour. Is this right? or is my system slow?

I've no idea. I turned it on and went to work. It was done when I got home. :)

I have been using their Topos for a while now. The maps they offer of CA, AZ, CO, and UT are far superior to the Garmin maps. I would highly recommend these!

Sorry for the extremely new question, but how do I install maps? I just got a GPS with no manual/anything...just the GPS. (Nuvi 750)

I have installed MapSource, but cannot figure out how to import the maps I install into MapSource...

Thank you for any help and my apologies for a thread hijack.
