SO coming home from the store yesterday after being gone for about an hour Erica and I see a person run into the woods, I can tellright away it is a young boy. We park and she goes in to ask Zoey ****** and I get on to KC(the dog) for letting people around the house while I am gone so she run to edge of the woods and barks a little.

Erica comes out and says the boys name is Chris and he was talking to Zoey, who of course has a whole different story and was trying to act like she was asleep on the couch!! So I walked in to the woods and looked around for him but could not see him so went back to the house and had Zoey pull up her facebook account. Sure enough she had been talking to him and told him we were not home and had him come to the back of the house.

So I sent him a message " This is Zoey's Dad, I will be in my garage working on my engine. You have 20 min to get your butt back here and have a chat or I will be having a discussion with your parents" I then went to the garage and with in two min I heard him crunching through the woods headed my way.

I made him sit down and scolded him for about 10 min and he made several promises never to come back. I mentioned that running around on peoples property is how folks get shot, and he is lucky I did not snatch him out of the woods where I saw him sitting. I of course did not know where he was but I knew he saw me walking around since I was wearing my orange GWOF redneck shirt. He was sure suprised and scared when he though I did see him though, I told him that I walked away caused he looked scared and I was too mad.

Well I had to make an example of him,but today being what it is and the situation my options were limited as to severity. But after the recent rains there were a lot of pine needles all over my driveway, and it is a pain to drag the cord out and blow it off. So I gave him a rake and said since he wants to be in my yard anyway he can rake off my driveway, and when he is done I will decide if I will talk to his parents.

Well he did a good job and only took about an hour, so I told him to get home before it got to dark and dont ever come back unless I am home. And as he was walking away I told him to let all his buddies know, don't come sneaking around my house cause next time it wont be pretty!

The joy's of having a teenage daughter! I told her the nextone shows up will get to push mow my acre of grass!!

You got lucky this time. We had a similar thing happen next door a few years ago, except the person that got the invite while the parents was a convicted child rapist. Same start to the deal, a facebook contact, and it was me that came home and watched the guy climb out the window of the girls bedroom. I assume he thought if was the parents coming back, and he bailed... I recognized him as a neighbor that had recently moved in, and that was that.

Did the same thing when I was a kid. But I didn't get caught! Remember taking off running and covering my trail from Dad. Girls always pull the "Daddys not home for a few hours routine". In general, If I wasn't interested in "playing meet the parents" and building a trust relationship where I didn't have to run from dad, then I wasn't really interested in the girl long term. Let your girl know that.

Parental control on Facebook??? I don't allow Facebook at my house. Even from my Friends and Elders. Too much hate, cheating, and relationship destruction comes from there.

somehow i don't equate raking leaves as a deterrent from "visiting". gawd; if that was the price of admission i'd bring my own rake!

Ya pretty sure when I was 14-17 raking was good. I got Cought once hard to hide the biggest green Ford in town with the name of your dads shop on the tailgate. I ended up cutting splitting and stacking 4 cords of fire wood 2 for her dad 2 for the lady next door.
