Saw this post and I hope some adventurous type would see the opportunity to get a classic 1st gen patrol and have an adventure driving it it to NA. Needs $1500 of engine work, but the price is right $0.

Our classic 60s series Nissan Patrol which has travelled all the way down from Colombia to Argentina is FREE to anyone who might want it.
- We recently had some engine issues which we simply can't afford to fix as we're down to our last travel funds but don't want a beautiful car completely decked out for overland travel to go to waste. So we'd rather give it to someone who might want it.
-Colombian Papers
1979 Hard top.
Custom Designed Roof Tent.
Roof Rack
Dual Battery System
Spotlights
Fog lights
Camping pots and Pans
Cutlery /Cooking Utensils
Alcohol burners
Bed assembly for inside (cosy)
Small 2-man tent (separate)
storage boxes for food / clothes etc
2 - Spare Tyres
Many Miscellaneous Tools / LED Torches and similar
2 - Spare 12V Electric Fuel Pumps
Auxiliary Fuel Container
First Aid Kit
- The work that needs doing includes some re-machining of crank-shaft and clutch and new bearing shells for the pistons. Total for doing the work here and reassembling the engine etc is 12000 - 15000 Argentinian Pesos, about $1500 US - completely ready for the road (inc new oil, radiator fluid, filter etc). The Patrol is Currently in a mechanics so if the work was wanted it could happen right away, only depending on getting the new parts.
It really is decked out for some great overland adventures and $1500 is a small price to pay to be back on the road completely decked out overland 4x4 with tons of character and class! We are really sad to have to say goodbye, we've had some amazing adventures and the Patrol has been such a reliable and fun car to travel in, we simply can't invest the time and money at the end of our journey...
